R4 IAIS – INLAND AIS TRANSPONDER SYSTEM

CERTIFIED AIS SYSTEM FOR INLAND WATERWAYS

Saab's R4 IAIS is designed for inland waterway applications and includes the special functions as defined in the standard for Inland Waterway AIS. The system includes a separate Control and Display Unit which allows the operator to monitor the traffic situation as well as water levels and to initiate transmission of voyage information.

 

Reliability

The R4 IAIS is based on the R4 AIS product by Saab for SOLAS applications. The product is in operation word-wide since 2004 with proven reliability.

 

User friendly control and display unit

The user interface has evolved over a number of years. It offers correct and easy understandable information. The graphic display shows the traffic situation as well as information on water levels and blue sign.
